PhD Fellow at Hamburg University, André Ramiro is a former guest researcher at Stanford's Digital Civil Society Lab, Derechos Digitales, Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society (as Humboldt Foundation fellow), and Weizenbaum Institute. He is also co-founder and former director of the Law and Technology Research Institute of Recife. He is currently an awardee of the Pulitzer Center's "South-to-South AI Accountability" program and a member of the Latin American Network of Surveillance, Technology, and Society Studies (Lavits). He has collaborated with several research centers, digital rights non-profit think-tanks as well as grassroots organizations about institutional security, privacy, data protection, and surveillance policies.
