About
Regina worked for 7 years for the International Telecommunication Union, where she set up the Young Innovators Program: the United Nations’ first co-creation and ideation platform for young social entrepreneurs working with connected technologies in innovative ways. In 2016, she moved to Berlin to develop Ashoka Germany’s digital social entrepreneurship strategy. In 2017, she launched the Social-Digital Incubator, a project aimed at fostering financially sustainable social innovation boosted by digital technologies all over the world. She was a Research Associate and EU Project Lead at the Technical University of Berlin. She earned her PhD in 2022 on grassroots innovation and critical technical practice before becoming a postdoctoral researcher at the Technical University of Munich, Chair of Design and Transdisciplinarity. She focuses on participation, transition design, and translational design for knowledge valorization. She is the Chairperson of the 2025 UN Working Group on Digital Public Infrastructure Safeguards, developing its assessment framework with a diverse group of experts.
