About
Antigone Davis is Meta's Vice President and Global Head of Safety. Antigone works with internal teams at Meta, civil society, experts and policymakers to ensure Meta is a leader in online safety. She spearheads its Safety Advisory Council, Global Safety Network and several expert advisory groups. She has served on the boards of the Tech Coalition, Family Online Safety Institute, National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, National Network to End Domestic Violence, National Center for the Victims of Crime and WePROTECT.
At Meta, she played a leading role in the development of Messenger Kids and Instagram’s Teen Accounts as well as the establishment of world-leading cross industry initiatives such as StopNCII and TakeItDown. Most recently, she has been focused on advancing federal legislation that would require app stores to get a parent’s permission before a teen downloads an app. In addition to her law degree from the University of Chicago and her bachelor’s from Barnard College, she has a masters in education and has spent the better part of her career focused on child-related issues, including as a middle-school teacher.
