Karyn is a co-founder and chief legal officer at Alleina AI. She worked as a legal counsel at Bentsi-Enchill, Letsa & Ankomah, Ghana’s leading and largest full-service law firm. Bentsi-Enchill, Letsa & Ankomah is Lex Mundi’s Africa partner. During her practice there, she worked for various clients, including Samsung Electronics SA, Amazon Web Services, Vodafone, Meta (Facebook), and Johnson and Johnson. Limited. Karyn specialises in corporate-commercial regulatory compliance on complex cross-border transactional and advisory services. She is passionate at discovering innovative ways to merge law and technology. Through such passion, she co-founded Alleina AI. Alleina AI, successfully won the EXIST Business Startup Grant funded by the BMWE, as the only African Starup in Germany. At Alleina AI, she has developed an AI governance strategy that addresses the ethical, legal, and regulatory needs of companies that utilise or deploy AI. She is focused on data security, accountability in AI decision making and human oversight in building AI-powered solutions.
