Armin Massing

Armin Massing ist Geschäftsführer von Berlin Global Village gGmbH, seit 2026 in einer Doppelspitze. Seit 2017 hat er den Aufbau des Berlin Global Village als Zentrum von 60 entwicklungspolitischen und migrantisch-diasporischen NGOs verantwortet. Dazu gehörte auch die Errichtung des ersten dekolonialen Denkzeichens in Deutschland vor den Gebäuden des Berlin Global Village als Ergebnis eines internationalen Kunstwettbewerbs in 2024. Mit dem Berlin Global Village hat er einen Ort mitgestaltet, der sich als lebendiges Labor zu Fragen von globaler Gerechtigkeit, Diversität und Nachhaltigkeit versteht. Zuvor hat er als Geschäftsführer beim Forum Fairer Handel sowie beim Berliner Entwicklungspolitischen Ratschlag und als Journalist gearbeitet.

Armin Massing is the Executive Director of Berlin Global Village gGmbH, serving in a co-leadership role since 2026. Since 2017, he has been responsible for establishing Berlin Global Village as a hub for 60 development policy and migrant-diasporic NGOs. This included the making of Germany’s first decolonial memorial in front of the Berlin Global Village buildings as the result of an international art competition in 2024. With Berlin Global Village, he has helped shape a space that sees itself as a living laboratory for issues of global justice, diversity, and sustainability. Previously, he worked as managing director at Forum Fairer Handel and the Berliner Entwicklungspolitischer Ratschlag, as well as a journalist.
