Fatemeh Khodadadian
Journalist & documentary filmmaker
About
Fatemeh “Tems” Khodadadian is a journalist and documentary filmmaker with a master’s degree in engineering from the Technical University of Munich. Having spent half of Fatemeh’s life in Iran and half in Germany, Fatemeh brings a perspective shaped by migration, queer Muslim identity, and the experience of living between cultures.
Before moving into journalism, Fatemeh worked as a consultant in digital engineering but left the corporate world due to a growing conflict with its profit-driven logic and pursued a cross-media journalism traineeship at ARD/BR, Germany’s public broadcaster.
Today, as a Publix Tech Journalism Fellow, Fatemeh focuses on the societal and political impact of artificial intelligence, particularly questions around ethical AI, power, conflict, and public discourse.
Alongside this work, Fatemeh works fpr documentary, podcast, and digital storytelling formats, including the YouTube channel Pop Secret Stories, often centering perspectives that are overlooked in mainstream media.
