Description

Accessibility should not be treated as a final check or a formal requirement. In line with the motto “Never Gonna Give You Up”, this session explores how accessibility is approached as a core design principle in the development of the national EUDI Wallet – with the aim of making the wallet accessible to many people with different abilities and needs.

The session explains what accessibility means in practice in the context of using the national EUDI Wallet and why it is essential to look beyond technical solutions. By focusing on the user perspective, the talk highlights how barriers can be uncovered early, enabling continuous improvement. Rather than aiming for abstract ideals, the focus is on realistic progress: learning from user testing and making design choices to enable participation for as many people as possible.

The session highlights why inclusive design matters and how accessibility plays a key role in building trust and usability in the national EUDI Wallet.
