Description
Fundamental to Drunken AI is my exploration of wine since 2017, generating electricity inspired by the 2,000-year-old Baghdad Battery, and investigating its impact in mystical and literary traditions. Following my residency at Rizq, I researched Persian and Arab poetry, particularly the Khamriya (Drunken Poetry) genre, and authored a chapter in Choir of Intelligences (2025, Le Comptoir Prospectiviste, Paris). I crafted a physical sculpture filled with wine, generating energy to power a live AI system, subtly affecting its “rationality” to become drunken.
The presentation in re:publica takes the form of an interactive live walkthrough in a 3D AI-Implemented virtual world, navigated by me on stage. It combines virtual sculpture, AI, literature, historical inquiry, and audience participation, reflecting a decade of research into ethics, perception, and the entanglement of culture and technology.
