Description

We are living in a world of polycrisis. Climate disasters are increasing in frequency and intensity. At the same time, humanitarian assistance and international solidarity are under threat. In this context, there is a need to strengthen community resilience through coordinated responses, local initiatives, mutual aid, and grassroots innovation — supported across governance levels.

Drawing on diverse experiences ranging from supporting civil society activities during the war in Ukraine to supporting communities during disasters across Asia, Latin America, and Europe, we will share insights into the social, institutional, financial, and technological infrastructures required to support community resilience — from disaster preparedness to response and recovery.
